2. Raionbashi- Kollekte (Hanson 12")
3. Sudden Infant- Radiograsm (Blossoming Noise 1991 Rerelease)
4. Trockeneis- 5025 AD (ehse records)

7. TLASILA- Horoscopo: Sanatorio de Moliere (Blossoming Noise)

9. Sandy Bull- Still Valentine’s Day 1969 (Water)
10. Flaherty/Corsano/Yeh- Snow Blind Avalanche (Imp Rec)
also, it's an internet release but i'd also cast a vote for: Joe Colley, Jessica Rylan and Kevin Drumm— “PURE” (excentrica)

Anything by Max Eisenberg, Lexie Mountain, Crank Sturgeon,
Blood Stereo (or Nyoukis solo) or Caleb Johnston (those
unmarked 10"'s came out this year, yeah?) is also probably
gold.

MV/EE & The Bummer Road 'Mother Of Thousands' CD (Time-Lag) - proving you can never have too much of a good thing, these woodland freaks released about 89 other cdrs this year, but this was the one where it all crystalised for me. Having said that, 'Green Blues' was awesome too, and so was 'Rural Dimensions', and 'Suncatcher Mountain', and 'Cowboys Road', and don't even get me started on 'Deep Space Circuit'. Fuck it, they didn't put a foot wrong all year!

Red Kites 'Nawadaha' CDR (U Sound) - creepy sibling weirdness that almost out Jandeked Jandek. Speaking of which...

Jandek 'Newcastle Sunday' CD (Corwood) - Unbelievable year for Mr. Smith....i'm still expecting to wake up and find it was all a dream.

Christina Carter 'Lace Heart' CDR (Many Breaths)

Wolf Eyes 'Human Animal' CD (SubPop), 'River Slaughter' 2LP (Hospital) - they scare the shit out of me.

Comets On Fire 'Avatar' CD (SubPop) - I haven't bought 2 subpop records in the same year since, umm, the last Wolf Eyes and Comets albums. But before that, it was about 1994 or something.

Espers 'II' CD (Wichita)

Melvins 'A Senile Animal' CD (Ipecac)

Boris 'Pink' CD (Southern Lord) - Being the greatest band in the history of music, Melvins should have run away with best RAWK album, but Boris outdid themselves and everybody else when it came down to gnarly, riffmungous heavyosity. Dude.

Dream/Aktion Unit 'Blood Shadow Rampage' CD (Volcanic Tongue) - Don't wanna seem to be currying favour here, but this really was killer.

Valley Of Ashes 'Cavehill Hunters Attrition' 3LP (Blackvelvetfuckere/Consanguineous)

Paul LaBrecque/Valerie Webb 'Trees, Chants and Hollers' LP reissue (Eclipse) - just beautiful.

Sun City Girls 'Carnival Folklore Ressurection vol 14 - Static From The Outside Set' CD (Abduction)- The hits just keep on coming!

Magik Markers 'A Panegyric To The Things I Do Not Understand' CD (Gulcher) - My favourite of this years bumper crop. Also on heavy rotation: 'Feel The Crayon' LP, 'Don and Phil' CDR, 'Road Pussy' CDR, 'The Voldoror Dance' CD, 'For Sada Jane' LP.

Sunroof! 'Silver Bear Mist' 2CD (Vhf)

Dead C 'Perform Vain, Erudite, and Stupid' 2CD (Badabing)

Sachiko 'You Never Atone For...' CD (there - Musik Atlach)

Can't 'Can't' LP (Ultra Eczema) - An absolute killer, and record cover of the year!

Hototogisu 'Chimarendammerung' CD (De Stijl) - Whoosh!

Vampire Can't 'Key Cutter' CD (Load)

Boots/CC/Snake and Remus 3LP box (HP Cycle) - What the fuck? Answers on a postcard, please...

Fonotone Records 5CD box (Fonotone) - Think this came out in 06 and not 05. Made me smile more than anything else this year. The bottle opener was really useful, too.

Flashlights 'Eckords' CDR (Students Of Decay) - I listened to this whilst falling asleep one night and, at that point just before i went under, i was convinced i was snuglgled up in Liz Harris' voice instead of my duvet.

I hit the charity shop (or thrift store to our american friends) motherlode back in March - you couldn't make this up: Neu 'Neu' LP, Amon Duul 2 'Phallus Dei' LP, 5(!) 'Pebbles' LPs (including the 'Best Of Pebbles' with the Rudi Protrudi cover art and the snot green vinyl!), and Sun Ra 'My Brother The Wind' LP in one batch for £1.99 each! The Neu, Amon Duul 2 and Sun Ra were reissues, but what the fuck man! I almost fell over!

Lotsa great DVDs this year - 'We Jam Econo: The Minutemen Story', 'The Devil And Daniel Johnston', 'Fun from None: Live at the NoFunFest 04-05', 'Unknown Passage: The Dead Moon Story', 'Be Here To Love Me' and the Paper Rad DVD. My eyes!!

Arthur magazine continues to be essential reading - they managed to squeeze some great articles in amongst all the adds this year. Hope those C and D guys haven't gone for good. The Wire and Terrorizer are the only 2 things worth buying in newsagents these days (except rizlas and galaxy bars).

Kramers Ergot 6 (Buenaventura Press) is as good as everyone says it is and is definately comic of the year. 'Curses' (Drawn and Quarterly), the hardcover collection of Kevin Huizenga's Glenn Ganges comics is also completely indispensable.
