Martin Scheugl A Live Top Six/Seven: Maryanne Amacher at Volksbuhne, Berlin It hurt, but so intense, the slightest movement of the head made new music Gang Gang Dance at Volksbuhne, Berlin First time i heard them, same night as amacher, in the "club" room what a great bill Phill Niblock and Thomas Ankersmit solo, and Gert-Jan Prins/Thomas Ankersmit/Giuseppe Ielasi at Podewil, Berlin Ankersmit’s solo was probably the most impressive of all of this, super detailed, hyperkinetic music, using a serge modular synth and computer. new niblock pieces were great too, too bad the seating was pretty formal Radian at Bastard, Berlin Most energetic radian set ever. good dancing audience too. Kevin Drumm solo at Music Genera fest in Stettin Poland a pretty interesting festival, although many promising sets sort of disappointing. drumm really stood out, very intense and focussed electronic set, no guitar Charlemagne Palestine solo at Nourbaksh Gallery in Berlin beautiful although cramped gallery performance, lots of people came out for this one, brandy for all. his wife was left packing up all the stuffed animals afterwards
