Limited one-time pressing compilation that joins the dots between a bunch of new all-female avant/punk/primitive noise from Basement USA that hands you your ass the way No New York did or some fantasy NY avant garde comp on Lovely Music might've. This one gathers a bunch of tracks from recent private press stars Circuit Des Yeux alongside US Girls, Cro Magnon and Zola Jesus plus some choice unknowns: Kilynn from Little Claw's Luxury Prevention project, the other half of Cro Magnon's Bird offshoot and Buckets Of Bile. The programming is maximal: Cro Magnon play crude Shaggs/Harry Pussy/ESP Disk style drums/vocals/guitars breakdowns, Circuit Des Yeux cut almost Phillip Corner-styled avant piano with beautiful blooms of vocals while Zola Jesus contributes the comp highlight with "Rester" a track that moves from the kind of fuzz-primitive environs of Wickham-Smith/Youngs circa Ceacescu through to a full-blown Kate Bush-plays-Siltbreeze psychedelic fantasy. An epochal comp of contemporary 'Crimson Wave' and one that looks to have a defining influence on future sound-as-thought. In spraypainted stenciled sleeves. Highly recommended.
