Brand new Japan-only solo album from Reiko Kudo of Maher Shalal Hash Baz/Noise et al with a series of stunning guest spots by Keiji Haino on guitar, vocals and drums. Reiko's compositions skirt the very edges of silence and form, with breathless vocals hovering around barely-there blues and spectral hymns. Haino's performance is just jaw-dropping, trading lead vocals with Reiko and shredding individual tracks with Bailey-esque guitar breakdowns and roaring Black Blues-style vox. Great to hear Haino in classic song mode and the combination of the two vocals makes Nancy and Lee sound like a pair of singing nuns. Packaged in gatefold art paper sleeves. Highly recommended.
